“With watercolor, I love taking a naturalistic approach to figures and portraits, and an impressionistic approach to landscapes,” says Atlanta-based artist Geoff Lander. “Recently, I’ve been enjoying pre-wetting my watercolor paper before starting a portrait or figure painting. For this untitled watercolor portrait of my father, I used perylene green.”
