Awash in Watercolor

The Minnesota Watercolor Society is celebrating their fall membership exhibition, “Awash in Autumn,” through October 20, 2018, at the Ames Center in Burnsville, Minnesota. On display are 70 original paintings created using watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache and water-soluble inks.

Here’s a look at the watermedia paintings awarded by this year’s judge Calvin deRuyter.

Emrich Stordahl Founders Award — Jack O’Leary — “Walking Man”

 

First Honors — John Grancorvitz — “In Flight”

 

Second Honors — Georgia Kandiko — “Poetry in Motion”

 

Third Honors — Robert Jeffery — “Grand Canal”
