Not Too Late

The Minnesota Watercolor Society (MNWS) hosted its annual Fall Member Exhibition virtually in cooperation with the White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA). The show titled “Splash” ran from September 17 through October 15, 2020.  The show has been archived for viewing on the WBCA site under the Exhibitions pull down menu. Click on Ford Family Gallery for access to view the winners’ paintings along with all 62 entries.
This year’s judge was artist Cris Franchevich. She presented the following awards via a pre-recorded ceremony on September 17, 2020.
Best in Show: First Sip by Tara Sweeney
Emerich-Stordahl: Feeling Blue by Sue Olson
First Honors: Undulation by Anne Legeros
Second Honors: Winter Ice by Heidi Nelson
Third Honors: Rusted Out by Stephen Lackore
The mission of the MNWS is to further the development of the watercolor artist by providing a supportive environment with education and exhibition opportunities and to promote public appreciation and greater visibility of the art.
