Watercolor Is in Full Bloom in Minnesota

Get a first look at the watercolor paintings that took home top prizes in the Minnesota Watercolor Society spring show.

Minnesota Watercolor Society Spring Show Award Winners will be on display at the Reedy Gallery, University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota through May 1, 2019. Juror David Feinberg, an Associate Professor of Drawing and Painting at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, had this to say about the entries to this year’s exhibition, “I believe I experienced juroring the most talented artists ever applying for an exhibition and thus it was extremely difficult to eliminate so many works that I really liked.”

First honor: “Rural Chaos” by Virginia Haines
Second honor: “Safe Harbor” by Rick Lundsten
Third honor: “Up North” by Nancy Webert

With over 300 members, the Minnesota Watercolor Society (MNWS) is one of the largest associations of watercolor artists in the Midwest.
