Two areas drying at different rates can create bleeds and blossoms. During the drying process, water from the wetter, slower drying area seeps into the drier area, resulting in a blossom. Sometimes these are “happy accidents,” but if you get an unwanted bleed, dip your brush in water and gently paint over the bleed area to soften it. Let the area dry and paint over it again with the appropriate color to fix.
