Yueqi Zhang, of Chicago, Illinois, was awarded the cash prize of $2,000 for first place in the Northwest Watercolor Society’s 79th Annual International Open Exhibition.
The other top cash award recipients are Charles Rouse from Vista, California, presented with $1,300 for second place; and Kate Aubrey, from Maryville, Tennesee, with $800 for third place.
These paintings, along with 57 others picked by internationally known juror, artist and instructor, Don Andrews, are currently on display at Shoreline City Hall in Shoreline, Washington until July 11th.
